Based in Guernsey, Graham brings his unique skill-set to this already well-established independent consultancy firm, working centrally with the CWC team as it responds to the diverse and ever-changing needs of its clients.
Graham has made his career in the Guernsey finance industry. For more than 35 years he held a senior position at the largest and most innovative captive manager in Europe. During that time it licenced the first Guernsey Protected and Incorporated Cell Insurance Companies and has built them into brand leaders. As a practitioner, Graham’s own diverse portfolio of clients were accustomed to 1) new ideas and techniques being introduced on a regular basis and 2) no stone being left unturned in the unceasing quest for new lines of business.
As a result of so many years at the “coal face” Graham has a unique insight into every aspect of captive management. This wealth of experience will now be channelled into helping CWC’s clients realise the full potential of their captives.
Outside of insurance Graham has also demonstrated innovative thinking and he was directly involved in one of the first company migrations into the Island, the first amalgamation of two Guernsey entities and registered the first non-regulated Protected Cell Company. He also has long experience of looking after “risk purpose” trusts.
Having recently retired from full time employment, Graham also acts as an independent director on a number of Guernsey and UK regulated and non-regulated boards of entities for groups operating in a wide range of industries. The owners of these groups range from private individuals to constituents of the FTSE 100.
Graham is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute by examination. He is registered and approved as a Director with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
